a travelling proust

hello, salut, konnichiwa
My name is Keira Proust. I'm a reporter and am currently spending 12 months travelling abroad. My partner and I are trying to reduce our carbon footprint as we travel through Southeast Asia toward Europe, so we are attempting to fly as little as possible. I am taking a career break from my job as a journalist at the ABC, Australia's national broadcaster, for this adventure and thought I would share some of my experiences and photography along the way.
a bit more about me
I grew up backpacking through Southeast Asia with my family and feel incredibly fortunate to continue travelling to these wonderful countries and more as an adult. At age 15, I spent nearly six months on exchange in France, igniting a lasting love for the language, cheese, wine, and good conversations.
My partner and I have spent the past four years saving for this epic trip and are beyond excited that it's finally paying off. We're currently in Malaysia after making our way (on land and boat) from Bali through Java and Sumatra. I hope my travel writings and photos can bring you some joy, inspiration or peace of mind (for my loved ones back home).

Let the adventures begin!
